It’s easy to become overwhelmed with constant reports about the COVID-19 pandemic. We must do our part to stay safe. Please make sure that you get your information from reliable news outlets or the CDC. Here are a few quick tips that you might find useful.
Washing your hands often is one of the best things you can do to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. The COVID-19 virus can cling to surfaces like your clothes, shoes, debit cards and phones. So be sure to wash your hands after each use.
Most of us have our phones in our hands or up to our faces 10 times a day or more. Cleaning your phone regularly should be a part of your normal routine. Check with your manufacturer to see what is the best cleaning solution for your phone.
While it isn't the law, there is strong evidence that suggests wearing face masks can reduce the spread of COVID-19. Anytime you go outside you should consider wearing a face mask and gloves. Last week Illinois ranked 30th among the states in COVID-19 testing. This means they still do not know who is infected. Wearing a face mask and gloves can help protect all of us.
While staying at home can be boring, right now it is the most successful way to stop the spread of COVID-19. To help combat the boredom consider starting a new hobby like planting a garden, learning to sew, participating in an online book club or start that workout regimen you've been putting off. 😊
Any surface that has been touched by human hands should be cleaned...often. Knobs, railings, light switches, keys should all be disinfected. Don't forget your car. Clean the handles, dashboard. rearview mirror, steering wheel, gearshift, etc. Basically anything that is touched should be cleaned and disinfected.
Remember we are all in this together!
